flash-catalystAdobe Catalyst has been presented by Adobe, with the pompous promise to reinvent the way we create user interfaces (UI). Perhaps not for much, but it is true that the possibility of using Illustrator and Photoshop to create the SWF interface will be very interesting. It’s a new professional interaction design tool for rapidly creating user interfaces without coding.

This solves a longstanding problem with the platform Flash, which was not as fluid development and communication between designers and developers.

Then will come the turn of the switch to Flash Builder 4, where you can add connectivity to databases and web services. Flash Builder is, incidentally, the new name that is called Flex Builder, and so this application “premieres” in version 4.

Flash Catalyst is an application-in-beta so it can be downloaded and tested for 30 days, but you need serial numbers (key developers) to continue testing it for a little more time.
