BSNL launched Prepaid Broadband plans

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is the largest Broadband Service provider in India and now they have come up with prepaid plans for Broadband for the first time in country for all cities except Delhi and Mumbai.

Just like most of the Mobiles users have prepaid connection, it is expected that this new idea in Broadband mode of payment can fetch more customers. Like Cellphones, you will need to purchase Recharge Vouchers to access at speeds ranging from 256kbps to 2mbps which will have some period of validity according to the amount. Limited download is also available through nine slabs at 2mbps speed. However, the voucher amount have not been disclosed yet.

Features of BSNL Prepaid Broadband plan

• There are no fixed monthly charges for prepaid broadband service.
• Postpaid customers can also subscribe to the service.
• Initially, prepaid broadband customers will be given an account with user name and password and 50mb free download with a 15-day validity period.
• A group of prepaid customers like students or professionals can share a single digital subscriber line (DSL) connection.

Advantages of new Prepaid Plan is that subscribers will have control onusage and will not have to exceed download limit. Also,Corporates and enterprises can control expenditure on broadband usage of employees by subscribing to the service.
