Dell Inspiron 11z is a move to take turn from the conventional notebooks. It is a try to make thinnest laptop available for that screen size. Z in its name stand for height and its USP will be ultra thin, portability and low cost.

The Dell Inspiron 11z has a thickness of 2.5 cm and weighing 1.3 kg, slightly above the ultra-lightweight. The screen size is perfect to combine mobility and practicality: 11.6 inches with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. So, you nomore have to suffer the 1024×600 resolutions found in most 10-inch netbooks.

The Dell Inspiron 11z sacrificing portability NETBOOK slightly to enlarge the screen size and keyboard (full dimensions are 292 x 214 x 25.8 mm). Leaving aside the discussion of the processor, where it improves its performance as a machine is in RAM, as is standard with 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz.

Alongwith, we have Intel GS45 integrated graphics, along with memory card reader, two USB ports, stereo speakers, microphone, 1.3 megapixel webcam standard audio connectors. It also carries an HDMI output, higher than the VGA and 250GB HDD. Certainly part of that potential is squandered with Windows Vista, although it may be upgraded to Windows 7 when it reaches the market.

In terms of autonomy, their 3-cell battery promises a maximum of 3 hours, which as always will be less to take the laptop connected via Wi-Fi (not integrated with Bluetooth which is optional). Its price in United States, available only in black finish of the images is $ 400. We’ll see how that figure is when Dell announces it for India.
