Edit your images with Free Image Manipulator
Whenever we talk of editing images we mean resizing, changing image format, adding text or watermark to it. There are many softwares whether free or paid are capable of doing these things. But none of them have all these features combined. Sized at just 7.13 MB Free Image Manipulator is a very good alternative to perform all these tasks with batch processing capabilities and Supports Windows and Linux.
Free Image Manipulator is an open source application providing the following features:
Format
After adding the image you can add text to it from here. You can also choose the type of font it’s size and select color of text and its back ground. Apart from this even transparency can be adjusted on the text or the text background.
Position
Positioning the text in position on the image can be done from here. Options available are left align , right align, align to top, align to bottom. These settings are accompanied by horizontal and vertical margin and spacing to provide the exact point where you want to put the text.
Images
You can add images as watermark, adjust its transparency, size and position to be placed on image.
File
Here you can resize and even change image format to Jpeg, Bmp, Png, Gif. Name can be added in suffix or prefix order.
The reproduced image quality can be controlled in two ways, either by increasing or decreasing the quality or by specifying the size of the output file.
The changes you make to the image can be seen by clicking on the Preview button. If you are finished with your work, then you have to click the Process button and save the image to a desired location on hard disk.
There are some problems that appeared to me such as, preview generated does not automatically refresh and it crashes some times during watermarking several images at once(may not be experienced by every one).
It is a worth using software for those who need quick editing and watermarking images.
