Fake Windows Antivirus you should be beware of

3 Comments 25 November 2008

windows-antivirus-2008These days you need to be more aware and secure if using Windows OS, Installing Security program on Windows is a necessary thing but at the same time, you need to know about some antivirus products that need to steer clear of. These are the malicious program codes which pose themselves as an Antivirus program to the user. You can call them ScareWares.

They are named so wisely to pose as a genuine one. List includes Micro Antivirus 2009, MS Antivirus, Spyware Preventer, Vista Antivirus 2008, Advanced Antivirus, System Antivirus 2008, Ultimate Antivirus 2008, Windows Antivirus, XPert Antivirus, Power Antivirus and Ultra Antivirus 2009.

After entering into your system, they will scan (fake one) and tell you that your PC is infectde with lots of bad stuff (for free!) and to remove them you will need to register/activate (simply pay money) Infact, they are incapable of finding any malware in you system, it will display a bogus report. They will make your working on PC miserable by popping windows and warnings to remind you about activation.

Their namings can distract any person moreover, their fake windows are designed to look like any Certified Genuine softwares so beware and prevent your PC by regularly updating Windows (especially Malicious removal tool releases) If possible, use some good security program.
