Update: Download Google Chrome OS from Rapidshare, Megaupload or Torrent
The day when you will say everything Google is not far away. Yes, Google will be introducing its operating system to the world called Google Chrome OS.
As the name suggests, it is an operating system primarily designed for online access. It is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. The basis of all this is Linux, and it is expected that most applications work with Web technologies.
As already said, Google’s popularity lies in its simplicity so, what all this OS cares about is Speed, simplicity and security. Motive is clear that it has to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in few seconds.
Google Chrome OS will run on both x86 as well as ARM chips. Also, they clearly differentiated their new project from Google Android which is a operating system for Mobile by Google. Google Chrome is an OS operating system only raised for netbooks and PCs, for people who spend most of their time on the web.
I really cannot wait to try hands on this Google product but stable version is expected to be released in second half of 2010.

@Nihar, I don’t think that it can beat Microsoft because it’s targeted for netbooks and majority of people don’t understand anything else than Windows!
It’s giving out it’s last roar before death. Google may have good techies, but lacks foresight.

Google is NOT a company I am fond of… I mean they are a VERY big company now and really… TOO BIG for their own good!
Google has become known as a ‘spy-happy’ company by the intelligent, computer literate and know that Google is one company to stay AWAY from, Free or Not!
They have hired individuals who make their living as a spy in governmental agencies and the likes to help them in their efforts of spying on us.
In fact, that is what their Google toolbar is all about! It digs in to your info on your computer and tracks just about everything you do online. Google also NEVER DELETES ANYTHING anymore and keeps all data they ever collect on you or anyone.
CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT KIND OF POWER GOOGLE WILL HAVE WHEN MANY FOLKS DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THEIR Operating System????!!!

Now-a-days, I think, research and then act accordingly.
If you need to respond to something immediately, go with your gut feeling, but make sure you are reading it correctly by practising using it on all your decisions.
