Here Comes the Google Chrome 5, first developers build release
It has been some 4 days that Google releases the final version of Chrome 4 Browser and now they have started working on Google Chrome 5. The first developer’s build of Google Chrome 5.0.307.1 is released publicly for Windows and Mac which comes with bug fixes and new features.
As per CNET, Chrome Dev build 5 has more bugs than fixes like some themes not fully compatible, “unusual starbursts behind the toolbar buttons, a blank new tabs page, and the Page menu icon has been replaced by the Tools menu icon”.
What’s new in Google Chrome dev build 5.0.307.1
The updates for Windows includes Use of default downloads directory on Vista and Windows 7 which initially was Desktop. And, The Content Settings window in the Options menu makes its debut, with in-depth tweaks for cookies, images, JavaScript, plug-ins, and pop-ups.
Note: This developer’s build of Google Chrome 5 is unstable and should only be used with caution. I would say better stay with Chrome 4, stable build release and switch to Chrome 5 only if you want to test.
