facebook-appIf you are on Facebook from long time, you may be using Facebook Calender feature for saving events, birthday reminders or any important dates. By default, there is no such option to import Calender events to somewhere else or other services. This is the most missing feature on facebook.

Thanks to fbCal, which can export all you events in Calender to other services like Apple iCal, Mozilla Sunbird, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or in your RSS reader and Windows Live.

fbCal can export these in two separate calendar files in a friendly .ics format which can be imported in all the popular calendar apps. These calendar are up to date only to the time you exported them from facebook.

For Windows Live

The .ics file exported from facebook with the help of fbCal can be used with both Windows Live Mail on the desktop, and Windows Live Calendar on the web. All you have to do is simply import the .ics file(exported with fbCal) through Windows Live Calendar on the web which will then automatically synchronize your calendar on the desktop with Windows Live Mail.

Other services stated above can  be directly subscribed from Facebook app in your account.

  1. Thank you Rohit for the blog post.
Two news things with fbcal. First it is now possible to sync your calendar with your iPhone or any mobile device able to subscribe to ICS feed. For iPhone simply visite http://www.fbcal.com and click on the iCal icon when requested. And voilà ;-)
The second thing is about timezone. Facebook do not manage timezone so we add an option for Google Calendar users to select the timezone they are in and http://www.fbcal.com apply the correction for your event to be synched perfectly with Facebook.
