Kodak Zi8 1080P HD Video Pocket camera

Kodak announced its new handheld camcorder with HD recording capabilities. It called Zi8, HD ultra-portable camcorder will be released September 2009 as a successor to the Zi6 and the Zx1.

It has 1080P recording capability, image stabilization, face detection. It has a flexible USB connector and can record video in SD / SDH up to 32GB of media up to 10 hours of video. It also has an LCD screen Vivid 2.5-inch preview, external microphone and a HDMI connection.

The KODAK Zi8 Pocket Video Camera makes it easy to spontaneously capture HD video – of heartwarming moments, of ‘can you believe that?‘ moments, and of just plain laugh-out-loud moments – and then quickly and easily share them.

The Zi8 recorded approximately 20 minutes of HD video (30 fps) for each GB and can also capture still images of 5 Megapixels and 16:9 according to the company promises a good performance in low light environments. It has a button to easily upload images / video to Facbook, Youtube and other social networking sites and file sharing.
