LG Cookie Fresh GS290: Affordable Touch Screen Phone at Rs. 5962
LG Cookie Fresh or LG GS290 is a new handset launched by LG having very interactive Touch screen interface with 2MP camera, music player, FM Radio, Bluetooth v2.1 and EDGE at a price of Rs 5962.
It has a bar form factor, weighs 91 grams and bears a dimension of 108 x 52.9 x 12.5mm. It has 3 inch TFT screen with descent display quality of 240×400 pixels at 262K colors. The 2MP camera comes with an option of digital zoom (2x) and video recording. Images can be captured at 1600×1200, 1280×960, 640×480, 400×240 and 320×240 resolutions. The handset has a music player capable of playing MP3, AMR, AAC, AAC+, WMA and MIDI files.
For connectivity purposes, it supports GPRS, EDGE and WAP services. It also has Bluetooth and USB support to facilitate your data transfer needs. Cookie Fresh comes with applications like Data Wallet, Just Cricket, LG HelpDesk, NewsHunt and Push e-mail. It supports all java applications hence there are lots of games that can be played. Some of the games that comes with it are Brain challenge2 Demo, Diamond Twister Demo, Ferrari GT Demo, Thomsons and Touch. It also comes with Anti theft Mobile tracker which is a useful feature at times. Most importantly it comes with a document viewer that supports doc, xls, ppt and pdf files.
It has an inbuilt browser but you can always download opera mini and get access to internet easily and conveniently, it also provides inbuilt oxford dictionary and many other features like facebook, picasa, orkut, tweeter etc to keep you connected with the social networks.
It has an internal memory of 22Mb and is expandable up to 16GB, which ia more than enough to carry your digital library with you anywhere you like. It comes with a 900 mAh LI-Ion battery that can provide talk time up to 10 Hrs and standby time up to 390 Hrs and can be charged via usb cable also.
My verdict: Last week we covered Lemon iT 717, which was a similar touch screen at Rs. 4500. But LG is always known well for its display, strong sound and good looks. The price difference is of Rs. 1462 and it is advisable for readers to go for this handset if possible as Lemon lacks many additional features LG Cookie GS290 has. i have lg cookie fresh i brought 2 months ago bt i m really fed up from this set many time its hanged also now its touch pad not working and service center people says wait for at-lest 10 days so this is the third class phone with forth class services plz dont buy it
LG Cookie fresh is best hand set i never seen in the past , its features meets our requirement in life .
Lg cooki fresh it is very nice phone&smart phone.
