Addons have always been useful to increase productivity of Mozilla Firefox browser. Here’s a one which enables you to research, process, translate or manipulate any selected text on a web page.

Hyperwords addon is something with which you can literally interact with any text you select on a web page. Double-click on a word (to select), or click and drag (to select) a number of words and instantly displays a context menu with various options: search, share, etc.

In addition to all the options that comes as default it has ability to add our own search engines or websites, edit (remove or put) that menu and assign keyboard shortcuts to different search engines or if there are any actions that we use very frequency.

By selecting a word or phrase Hyperwords menu allows you to:

Search: Google in the same web site where you are, social web (Twitter, Facebook, etc), Images & Video (Flickr, YouTube, etc.), maps, news, etc..

Share: Email, Twitter, Facebook, delicious, and so on.
Copy includes an option for authenticated by double-clicking a word or select a phrase or a paragraph. You can also create a text file, send it to the printer, etc..

Search: Wikipedia, Google Definition, IMDb, Urban Dictionary, etc.

Translate: Translation will not take you to another page but right there in the place where he had selected the original word or phrase.

View: Find more sites on the same page where that word was referred.

SEO: Find links that link to this page, information from Alexa, Pagerank, blogs pointing to this site, etc.

Convertor: When you select text that contains numbers, you can convert currency, temperature, distance, etc.

Other options: Remember that you can edit menus and so you can add or remove items as well.
