Micromax has just announced the launch of an ultra smart handset- Micromax X550 Qube. The most fascinating thing about the phone is its 3D Cube User Interface. if u are unable to recieve call on sim 1 or sim 2 while on sim 1 or sim2 call for this problem you can make call divert..there is only one way to solve this problem. you can try it..it’s better way

Hi, Me too have the same problem. I don’t know the reason why its going to switch off suddenly even its battery has some charge. it does not show anything on screen if I put charging in that situation.
I could make it switch on only after removing battery and reinsert and then switch on it.

I am purchace Micromaw Qube X550. It is very suuuper. But iam install latest version Opera Mini to Hang [Stoped 80% Instal]. I closed install. Next to open Opera but not open. I have micromax X550, it is good but it has very short battery backup. if charged fully in the morning time and if received 3-4 calls in that day it shows low battery by the evening time. Is everybody having the same problem?? please reply

wat u have 2 do is at frst u go 2 setting then u go to java setting & then u have 2 make a java profile for ur sim wat ur using lk…. ur using docomo so prfl name is tata docomo internet then manually fill up other options port,proxy. this will be same as in ur wap setting then save it ur java will activate thn & nibuzz & snap2 all ths will wok smothly………try it………….

in x550 this phone, while viewing the image touch screen is not working properly, battery backup is very less, within a 3-4 call it will show low batter, while speeking without ear phone the sound clarity is not good. photo clarity is not good, but other options are good
do an accurate phone calibaration from settings>>personalise>>calibaration ur touch screen problem will be solved.
For batter back up, evn i have the same problem and as some one said we need to attack the service centre

Hi, as per interest on this model, at last I have purchased this phone on 19th Dec’10, as said above disadvantages all are correct, battery backup is very low, if we use more than a hour or more it may come totally down as my experience, use of touch screen also is not too good, very tough to text the msg. i have not used snapaptu, nimbuzz etc and not known about this in the phone. I feel this is not a worth when we compare with the branded one like nokia, samsung, lg etc. when i want to activate gprs for airtel, ivr has only branded information on mobile sets, settings and all need to do on manual and process also complicated to get the things done on this phone, till now i have this information, if I come to know some more information about this phone I’ll provide the feedback on this site.
I strongly feel it’s better to go for branded mobile sets.

As I said above in my review or comments still i’m not clear since by seeing other reviews I felt the same and commented but one thing battery backup is low, while start itself for usage of 20 to 30 mints gets half of its bar, this is true as per my known, when we have more options to use the set then the battery backup should be good then only it will be useful to us.
I request everyone whoever using this phone to give your reviews so that it will be helpful to analyse worth or good or etc.,
FM is good, while in call voice also good.
One more point I want to mention, I didn’t get guarantee card for this phone, when I spoke to mobile show room people they say bill itself guarantee but in user guide booklet mentioned with guarantee card when i informed the same to showroom people they say still bill is the guarantee, so I have written a mail on 21st Dec’10 to Micromax in Micromax Website to confirm on this and other thing I came to know while purchasing the phone should get with Memory Card but I didn’t get any memory card. I need to check with the Mobile showroom on this regard, when I purchased Motorola L7 in May’07 the set was with some 60 MB Memory Card,

Let’s me share my experience about this Product (Qube 550)
Same thing was happened with me about guarantee Card & Memory Card but I was neglecting this.
The battery problem was persisting in 22 to 23 days after purchase the mobile.
Before it the battery back was very very good as I played Music (Songs) on speaker continuously for more than 4.5 hours while traveling to my nephew place. Then I was check that the battery was barely diminish, it was really good battery back up.
Few day’s after the low battery issue start when I was forgot to bring my charger in office along with me so to charge the mobile I used Multi battery charger (We Called it Khekda Charger) I think due to use this charger the battery become defective & Mobile peace start to overheating while use. It’s never screen full charge indication after this. Otherwise overall function in this mobile is very nice like Video Recording, FM, Music Player, Call Voice Clarity,
One thing I want to tell you that if anyone makes call or miscall and if he is not in my Phone list then it show the “ID Withheld” Instead of No. of Caller. Do you know why this happened & what the solution for this?

As you said about battery back up, as of now how the battery backup is whether it works now also continuously 4.5 hours or there is any changes.in the battery now.

I enquired about Memory Card yesterday thru Poorvika Mobile World Customer care, said this mobile set won’t come with memory card, need to purchase seperately and last saturday I have purchased 8GB memory card(company name Transcend) at a cost of Rs.575 not in a showroom, in Parrys area, Chennai, the storage capacity is 2000 songs, 44 hours video & one more option I don’t remember. Mobile shop or showroom price of this 8GB card is betw min Rs.800 to max Rs.1500.

The offered price of this phone to me in Poorvika store was Rs.4500, at last I bargained to Rs.4300 and purchased it where I stay near by, Before purchasing this phone, from Just Dial Web site I enquired some other areas in Chennai thru phone, the price of this phone, they said was Rs.4290, 4785 etc.,at last I thought better to purchase near by if anything or something problem persists on this phone then I can easily visit near by itself rather than visiting far away areas in traficc which are too far like 10-15 kms and I need to get prepare time for this to go and rectify.
Before purchasing this phone I had lot of thoughts on this whether to go with this or LAVA A10 or samsung dual sim or Motorola dual sim models like EX115(Qwetry keypad price betw 4.5 to 5K), EX128(touch screen,price around 5K), I didn’t like samsung dual basic 2-3 models so I preferred this model and purchased, touch screen dual sim samsung model cost wass high double of this cost Rs.8700, my budget was betw 4-5K.

My name is Subramanya. I’m thinking of buying a mobile with touch screen, previously I had Maxx 414 handset(with touch screen+keypad), it was good however I lost it though. So this time m thinking of going to full touch screen mobile and at first I decided to go for Micromax Q75 mobile which comes with QWERTY key pad. Later when I came to know abt this mobile I searched in google & Youtube for its features and reviews and till now I had got a good result. Now when I was looking for its drawbacks I came thru this site which is showing major prblms in this mobile like battery back up and some said like sound clarity is not so much good.
When I saw the feature stating that talk time itself is upto 8hrs then only I thought it’ll not give back up more than 5-6 hrs. So please tell me whether is the sound clarity & camera clarity good or not since m a music & nature lover either I love to listen to songs most of the time or taking snaps, so if the sound clarity & camera clarity itself is not good then for me its no use of taking this mobile.
And one more thing I heard was that we can’t have wallpapers of our choice in this mobile. Is it also true. So please do suggest me as soon as possible since m in need of a mobile very urgent. So please tell me whether shall I go for Micromax Q75 or LAVA A10.
And one more thing forgot to mention was in this mobile when I saw its features in Youtube there was no choppiness in the video clarity nor while taking a photo. So waiting for your reply.

Wen m launching opera mini 5.1 after installation it is showing an eror msg “insufficient memory”….Wat to do….,s anyone having the same prob.?
There is no Redialling facility, if the opp no. is busy the phone shows user busy & closes the call, in my old model(Motorola SLVR L7) if no. is busy at 1st call for 2nd time it shows redail facility, when we click Redial till it get connects the call will be on, after connecting shows Redail Successful, then the ring continues. But this model just shows “user busy” and cuts the call.
Example: Gas company all the time will be in busy so when I call plenty times the same message “user busy”, this is disadvantage to me for this kind of contact nos.

let’s me tell you, yesterday (On Sunday) I went to the shop where from I bought this mobile, they suggest me to show the mobile to the service center meanwhile the service center was closed due to Sunday, I was really tired & went back again to shop & ask for new battery, they said the new battery could not be available in market & it will fix by only Service Center, Hopes everything will be clear soon.

let’s me tell you… recent battery back up is hardly for 3 to 4 hours without using any applications. (Like Camera, Music Player Etc.) & Battery Diminishing very swiftly while using those application. & Issue About “ID Withheld” for example supposes you would make me a call or miscall then it’s clear that your Mobile no. would appear In Call Logs (Received, Miss Call). But instead of No. it show “ID Withheld” on place of No. I don’t know why this happening on my mobile as I search on Google for this issue but nothing I got. And as Dravid Said on 29. Dec, 2010 at 12:25 pm that the “Qube550 in the market after 28 Dec is seems too good” what about the battery backup.
One Thing Many of mine friend told me that overcharging never effect the battery Capacity (Life) cause its automatically stop the charging after it’s full charge (User Of Samsung Monte, Galaxy, Corby etc.) So why does my Battery Get Affect? due to whole night charging or by Multi charger which is used. Please share this thing to clarify what to do in future to avoid such issue

Kindly check with Service Center about “ID Withheld”, I also don’t know about this. Regarding battery backup – today only I came to know Charging time takes 3-4 hours but very early gets down. Firstly when I purchased i charged without doing switch off the mobile for two nights, 3rd day due to some sim insert issue I went to purchased shop they inserted two sims and guided to charge the mobile with switch off mode for 8 hours for 3 days then again for 3 whole nights i have charged then onwards daily in the moring about 2-3 hrs will charge, if I use continuously whatever calls or application or any other then the battery will get down early.
As Dravid told in the above review about “the mobiles in the market after 28th december have been modified to a new version and the touch screen issues have resolved to a certain extent” – Kindly check with the Service Center people when you visit whether there is any option to reinstall to a new version in the mobile. I’m also thinking to visit purchased shop or Service Center, due to time consumption not able to visit but ASAP i’ll visit on this.
As your friends told about battery over charging will not effect, I too say the same since till now in my old or new set sometimes I use to charge whole night or day, there was no any effect, after getting full charge the mobile screen shows Charge Complete(Old Set) and it will be in same status till the wire is unplugged, in x550 too after charge completion comes some message like charge complete & one small sound today I observed.
I suggest kindly check whatever issues or queries on your mobile in Service Center.
Kindly provide your feedback after Service Center visit and whatever you get experience in this model.

Before purchasing X550:
When I was thinking more & expecting on this model suddenly I met one of my office collegue in the Terrace(11th Floor) of my Office building, I was standing alone and watching Marina Beach Sea, Chennai which is border of my office, he was taking snaps of sea and my eyes fallen on this mobile surprised to see whatever i was thinkiing on this model just seeing it surprised, after some time I spoke to him about this model said it’s a superb model from Micromax, features also good and said now Micromax is the 3rd largest in sales in India and he had purchased for Rs.5K at Vivek Show Room, Chennai. I felt strong feeling to purchase this model itself while thinking to go with this or other model at last I purchased on 19th Dec’10. I was trying to purchase on christmas or New Year, due to pressure in my thoughts I purchased early i.e., on 19th Dec’10.
As mentioned above, We both I and my office collegue travelled down in the same lift after talks, I thought he was with some other floor or office of that building but in the same floor he also got down and surprised to know we both were from same office then onwards we became friends, due to x550 i got one new friend and new x550, new collegue was newly joined 4 days back with other dept

I’m first time using FM, it’s very superb clarity I found in sound clarity.
I’m hearing FM India vs South Africa cricket match, there are 8 points in the volume to make high & low sound, in each point low and high sound clarity is good.
Charging thru PC takes 2-3 hrs, that too normal charge daily what I charge
I have stored 1 no. with names in both sims but when i receive call from tht no.(most time from sim2) i wont receive saved name rather I receive called no starts from +91, anybody face this prob, anybody knows pl reply.

Do you know there is Different sound quality produce by Music Player, for that first open the Music Player threw instant Application Doc.(Down Center of Screen Button) Then Play The Song & Come back Start the default Music Player while this you could observe Sound Changes which hard to Explain (Sound with More Clarity) Try This,
Manoj, I’m using Default Headset which had with pack and I tried in mobile set the last sentence what you said i.e., Sound with More Clarity and which is hard to Expalin, but unable to find. Kindly provide with detail how to play in mobile for this sound clarity.

@enrique – some games work while some don’t…download games from sites that say for micromax qube.
@Shade Slayer – x560 is good in terms of features but x550 is revised and more known so i suggest everyone to purchase x550 and not x560 like me.

There is no Battery available in market for this piece. I Lost my money and I know Nothing is there to do with this. so i would going to buy Samsung Wave 2 (8530) which is miles away from this shit piece and Micromax Company.
