Mozilla Weave to synchronise Bookmarks and Browsing History

2 Comments 29 June 2009

Mozilla Weave 0.4 has launched a new version of the Firefox extension to synchronize our navigation: history, tabs, passwords and bookmarks. Through the storage servers of Mozilla, you can keep the same user profile on multiple browsers, including mobile.

The only downside is that when we see Mozilla Weave 0.4 is that it requires at least Firefox 3.5, which is still in RC versions. This undoubtedly restricts their power quite because they are not just those who prefer to continue using the stable versions, but luckily in a few days to get the final version of Firefox 3.5.

All data transfers that take place between your browser and Mozilla’s servers is encrypted to ensure the safest possible, something of importance especially with regard to our passwords.

Among the new features in Mozilla Weave 0.4 we have to synchronize between the browsers preferences, and the ability to generate automatic logins to sites in which we’ve saved passwords. But also improves startup times and opening new windows, as well as support for addons compatible with Weave.
