Nokia Dual Sim Mobiles C1-00 and C2 Launched in India
With other players offering Multiple SIM functionality, Nokia did it late but they have finally launched the much awaited Nokia Dual SIM Mobile phones in Indian Market. Nokia C1 (C1-00) and Nokia C2 (C2-00) are GSM+GSM Dual SIM Phones unveiled today and will be available at very affordable prices.
At the launch event, Mary McDowell, Executive Vice President, Mobile Phones, Nokia said, “As per our deep consumer insights, entry level consumers need dual SIMs for various reasons including economizing time and costs, improving efficiency and for increased convenience. To address these consumer requirements, Nokia has launched these two devices that offer multiple SIM capabilities with a balanced feature set and ‘relevant innovations’ at affordable price points.”

Out of these two, C1 is a basic, entry level Mobile device which will be available at Price of Rs. 1,999 in Indian Markets.To call out it’s features- Impressive thing is it’s Battery Talktime which is said to 6 weeks, the longest ever for a Nokia mobile phone, especially useful in those parts of the country where access to electricity is sometimes limited. Another feature is Call Divert with which you can Divert a call of one SIM to another in case of No-Connectivity, Coverage Problems etc.

With C1, u can switch between the two SIMS.
But with C2 both of them will work together!!
ya c2 work dual togather. But c1-oo nt work 2gather. C1 accept dual sim but work manuali one by one. At your choice
This phone is very cute and smart phone.that will be available in low range its untinkable thanks for launched a duel sim phone i hats me nokia.
Can anybody suggest me for a good mulitmedia phone also having WAP; expandable memory; MP camera with both CDMA + GSM combination. As far for Nokia Phones I’m using one for last 8 years & its good. C1-C2 are quite good, but Nokia must also launch CDMA+GSM combination as quickly as possible.

1) Are both the sims active at same time?
2) When a call is active on sim-1 and we receive another call on sim-2 then the caller of sim-2 will hear a ring or ”call waiting message” (Both sims are of different provider, airtel & Vodafone)?
3) When a call is received does it display that the incomming call is for which sim (helpfull while in roaming mode)?

Nokia has introduced dual sim mobiles very late, better late than never. Every body ,at least maximum number of people were wishing . Hopefully Nokia Dual sim mobiles may pickup.
c1 has the switching tecnology used i.e only one sim will work at the same time,but what about c2.
Does both sim works at the same time in c2?
No.. These phones doesn’t have Dual SIM active feature. Both are Standby Dual Band Phones.

Guess my reason for buying C1? I don’t really give a damn about having dual SIM. My major usage is incoming. Most ‘lifetime’ offers of any provider need me to spend Rs 200 per 6 month anyways. So even if two diff schemes have relative merits, i shell out 400 in six months instead of 200 if I keep both. That wont do (what a cheapskate I am huh ?

So I am going to buy C1-00, but only 1 SIM card. The reason for C1 is, it is one of the few (or the only maybe!) low range Nokia’s (under Rs.2500) which have it has a 1020mAH battery. All others had 700-900mAH. And this one also claims standby time upto 36 days! Maybe they are decieving. 2 sims wont last that long but with 1 sim (like I plan to use), hope it goes close!
Only other high capacity battery phones were micromax x1i & x2I (1800mAH I think!!!). but i heard the sound is bad, and I dont know the company’s quality etc record well
Nokia has some >1500mAH batteries, but all in E & N series. Not an option for a cheapo like me. I might be able to afford it, but then I lost like 5 mobiles in 5 years
. Each in its unique way! So I better stick to under Rs2500. Around Rs 1000 might be best, but then I thought battery life is imp. Especially since I lost one of the mobiles when I kept it for charging at a semi-public place 
. And because I often forget to charge

In Nokia C2-00, both SIMs will work together. Both SIMs will remain active.
