Nokia X3-02: First Phone with Touchscreen and AlphaNumeric Keypad
Nokia`s all X series handsets have been spectacular in some way or the other, be it Nokia X2, Nokia X6 or Nokia X9. Here is another nice offering from the Finnish maker in the name of Nokia X3-02. It is Nokia’s first ‘Touch and Type’ phone as it features a unique combination of touchscreen as well as 12 button alpha numeric keypad.
X3-02 has a 2.4 inch display having a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, weighs just 78 grams and bears a dimension of 106.2 x 48.4 x 9.6 mm. Some notable points about the phone are the support for 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi and expandable memory up to 16GB. It also has an excellent 5MP camera having a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels, which might be a lot satisfying if you are into photography.
For remaining in touch with friends and families, it very well supports all major social networking platforms including Facebook and Twitter. It also comes loaded with three messengers namely Windows Live, Yahoo and Gmail.
Sound options are brilliant just like most of the Nokia handsets. X3 comes with multi format music player/ video player. It has FM Radio with RDS support and a 3.5 mm audio jack as well. For connectivity purposes apart from 3G and WiFi, it also has GPRS/EDGE connectivity. To assist file transfer operations, the phone supports Bluetooth and USB 2.0.
The handset however does not have Symbian as its operating system, it supports only Java. In terms of power settings, the phone offers slightly less talk time as we would have expected. It comes with a 3.5 hours of talk time in case of 3G connectivity and around 5.5 hours in case of 2G.
Nokia X3-02 will be available in 5 spectacular colours of White Silver, Dark Metal, Petrol Blue, Pink and Lilac. The price of this stunning ‘Touch and Type’ handset will be close to Rs. 7,500. Initially, the phone will be launced in China, Ireland & UK, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Germany, Spain & Portugal, France, Mexico, Saudi & Yemen. Thereafter, it will be launched in India during its second stage of launch. We will inform you as we get the exact dates.
