Opera 10 beta released

Opera is already a little closer to the final version of Opera 10. For now, we have to be contented with the launch of the first beta of this browser, with some minor corrections and changes in design but always with the speed of this browser innovator in many aspects (tabbed browsing, speed dial)

Opera 10 beta is available for both Windows and Mac OS X and Linux and comes with the design changes. Now we can customize the Speed Dial by resizing the thumbnail grid and can move from the classic 3 x 3 x 3 to a 4 or a 5 x 5 more suitable for wide screens, and can change the background of the speed dial placing the image.

So lets change the size of the grid, making more effective use of large monitors, in addition to set a wallpaper for us. Another visual change is to allow to resize the search field.

Automatic updates and an integrated spell checker are other new functionality in Opera 10, which also receives improvements inside. Its rendering engine is now much faster and more compatible, scoring a 100% in Acid3 test.
