Orkut People Hopper App morphs your photo with Friend’s Face

Google has brought a new application for Orkut called as People Hopper which can morph one face into your another friend’s photo. It takes your profile photo and morph it into your friend’s face with intermediate steps including similar face photos.

What you have to do is add People Hopper application to your orkut profile — Choose your Photo on one side and your Friend’s photo on other side. You will soon see a generated path between those two faces and in between a list of similar profile photos connecting them.

The best part of this fun application is that you can click on any face to go to their profile and explore the orkut and find new friends. Not just this but you can share these results with your friends by publishing an update.

Note that Orkut doesn’t use any face-specific features during this process and no facial recognition technology is involved. It’s just simple, automatic image matching to find similar photographs.
