There is lots of hype among people about this tag line “Boss is coming” however, there is no more information regarding it out here however, it is somewhat clear in minds of people that its is related to Mobile Phone. Let’s know what is it?

To be clear, Reliance BOSS is a GSM Mobile services. So, what’s different about it to calls it Boss? The Mobile number series generally starts from 9 (in india) and here lies the uniqueness, Reliance Boss mobile number series will be the first to start from 8. Still not clear, Why BOSS? Then, Along with the start of Series with 8, you will get new number starting with like 8055 which resembles like BOSS.

Reliance Boss is Coming

Nothing else is new or different in terms of call rates, tariff, offers, etc.

I guess, now you got it. Remember, when Reliance GSM offering Rs. 900 free talktime when it was launched in Maharashtra and Goa, It has got a over-whelming response from customers and now, Department of Telecommunications allots 8055 series to Reliance Communications for Maharashtra & Goa. Just a thing of being different!

Announcing the roll-out of its BOSS series at a press conference in Pune, Mr Ravi Santhanam, Circle CEO – Wireless Business, Maharashtra & Goa, Reliance Communications, said, “Reliance Communications has launched its GSM services across Mahrashtra & Goa and has received a tremendous response from the subscribers in the circle. Our new BOSS series reflects the unique success of Reliance Mobile brand in this circle. As part of the roll-out of ‘8055′ Boss series, we will offer our customers in Maharastra and Goa an equal opportunity to purchase their choice of number by sending an SMS. This is the first time we are offering our customers an option to choose their preferred number. This is in line with our company’s thrust to offer best-in-class mobile services to its customers across the country.”

How to get your BOSS “8055″ series mobile number?

As said, Customers across Maharastra and Goa can purchase unique numbers from the BOSS series by sending an sms as “BOSS” followed by the remaining 6 digits of their choice to 567678. Depending on the availability; the selected number of choice will be blocked and a reference code will be provided to the customer. A new customer has to purchase a new Reliance Mobile GSM number along with Rs 80 National Calling Card (NCC) recharge and SMS back their reference number to activate their preferred choice of number.

An existing Reliance GSM customer can avail this unique opportunity of having a preferred number in the BOSS series by following this process but without requiring to buy a new connection. As per the SMS delivered to me, You can only choose the numbers starting from 80554,80555, 80556, 80558 and 80550 followed by other 6 digits of your choice. No problem, you can give a try to other numbers too.

Will you buy? Just to show off or for being different from others. As, I already own a GSM, I will try switching to this new 8055 series.
