Spice Mobiles Ltd has unveiled yet another Dual SIM phone, which has two memory card slots. QT66, being its latest release, is a Dual Band QWERTY Keypad Phone.The Multimedia offerings of QT66 include 2.0 MP Digital Camera, FM Radio, FM recording, MP3 Player, Video Recorder with Playback option and Scheduled FM Recording. It offers decent connectivity options with features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS and WAP Connectivity. Spice QT66 is available in India at a price of Rs 5,999.
With QT66, you need not worry about the memory shortage problems as it comes with a dual memory card slot with each slot capable of handling memory up to 8GB. The phone has a 2.4-inch TFT display and the presence of QWERTY keypads adds colours to the looks. It is a Java based phone and has Opera Mini pre-installed in it. Moreover, it has apps like Nimbuzz and ibibo for instant messaging and social networking.
QT-66 is also equipped with m-commerce application called ngpay, which allows you to pay mobile bills.
This is the third simultaneous release of QT series; the others being QT44 and QT55. However, this is the best of the lot.

My Verdict
QT66 is an elegant QWERTY keypad phone priced at Rs 5,999. The phone has a decent 2MP camera with the support of video recording. The connectivity options look good with the presence of Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth and WAP connectivity. Definitely, a good option under the price range of Rs 6,000.

hii friends, i recently buy qt 66.however am unable to connect it to pc.pc suite installed but it doesn’t detect mobile.how can i get acess to it..is it works as internet modem for pc?
Total waste of money, only opera mini works with wifi rest of the application dont work, you try to install anything it will not enough memory, everywhere it is identified as Nokia 6680 dont know why, simply wasted my hard earned 5000 bucks on it , nimbuzz doesnt work with wifi on it, media player is total waste, you can only 5 rintones rest 25 supplied by the company

in the main menu itself you can see the WIFI option, first connect to WIFI and then open any application, u will feel like a internet usgae on PC…..superb phone

I”ve bought this phone for 5000 bucks. do have a one problem tht ” whenever i tried to download any thing frm the opera browser it had error msg ( not enough memory ) then the default browser starts which do have a connection error msg! can anybody help me to sort out this problem??
I recently purchased qt66, its image quality is poor and its keys are very hard and noisy.. Sometimes keypad will not open if i activate autokey lock feature…
i too had this problem twice. I have been using it for the past one week. It happened just twice on the first two days, after that it did not happen. Wen this happens, you have to pull out the battery and put it again

I converted a avi format movie to 3gp format to see in my QT66, but the player did not play it, while NOKIA express music played the same file. Can i download any other convertor, or i ew to dowload a new video player for my mobile.
nitin use ‘format factory’ software.. its freeware download it and convert the files in mp4 320 * 240 mp4eg format.. fantastic quality ….. i too using it… but i m dissapointed by the battery backup otherwise its excellent… any suggestion!!!
This phone is not good one, my friend using this phone, saying that this is assembled phone , it camera, audio player, video player sucks because its of china phone, and its software number is not Qt 66, is nokia 6680. preloaded software not working properly. operater Gprs setting cannot be received by this phone.
Those Buy this phone will completely dissappointed.
My opinnion is that if u want cheap phone Then buy china phone,
or want good quality phone Then buy Branded phones like nokia, samsung, ericsson, LG
Dear Ajish this phone is the finest phone in the Market at this low price u won’t get wi-fi and wireless FM with 6.0 CM screen… Yes it shows Nokia 6680 everywhere i don’t know…!
Do not use AutoLock feature always lock it manually by pressing righthand softkey below Names and than quickly press SYM key.
I use Opera 5.0 and the browsing my god its like browsing on PC I downloaded upto 4 MB files without any problem.
I know It has some drawbacks also but every phone has drawbacks…I like it and I bought it in MAR since then it cheers me every day.

Hi puchased it a day before and m trying to run wifi on my qt66 but evry time when i run opera it shows the connection fail message and it also fails in the nimbuzz netwrk test..
i have mtnl broadband conection..
should i enter the ip adres or keep it on DHCP?
what else setings should i ensure to run wifi on my mobile?

first enable wifi. goto menu -> wifi -> enable wifi. After that select one of the networs ane ur gud to go
i m using spice qt66 phone.. its excellent but i do have some problem.. first the battery backup is really poor!!! secondly m not able to use ebuddy messenger in it.. all suggestions are welcomed… do help

Network Type : Infrastructure
Security Mode : Shared
Encryption Mode : WEP
WEP Key Settings : TCP/IP Settings : DHCP : YES (No Need to Enter anything its dynamic)
For Java Settings:
Settings:
Put all on “Prompt at First”
Network Profile:
Profile Mode : User Specific
Select SIM : Master( the Sim which is GPRS enabled)
Java Master SIM Profile : Default (Because when you enabled WiFi it become the Default One)

One more thing It always show Nokia 6680 on mobile WAP Portal may be it is based on Nokia 6680 Chipset yes ofcourse a good assembled Phone…!
If it is true than it is good for QT66 users that it has a branded chipset not a chinese scrap.

I don’t know why u r unable to run net on wifi, i use gmaps with satelite & hybrid on wifi and it is just like pc broadband. i never entered any setting it is by default i just enable wifi search network and entered password it says activated. ok try wifi instead of default in java master sim setting.

Hello guys. I bought this phone jus two days back. it cool for its price. However I am not ale to setup WIFI for nimbuzz. Its speed test fails and says suitable connection cannot be found. Any headsup?
just read my comment for the mobile u will get ur answer just reinstall nimbuzz from the website again and it will work the pre loaded version is nt compatible with the handset…

Dear, QT 66 is a pretty addition to the spice family. The battery life is good save for the fact that it is much shorter than the qt 55′s. The additional feature however make it a worthwhile purchase.

Hi I have recently bought QT-66 as it has wi-fi.I am able tu rung application through wi-fi except Nimbuzz, but the moment i swtich to GPRS it doesnt work at all. I had Q5 earlier from Micromax. The GPRS used to run effectively on that. Though QT-66 is a carbon copy of Q5 all the fiunctions are also the same but still QT-66 is not able to enable the GPRS settings. Please Help!!!!
my nimbuzz also doesnt connect to internet , but other applications can connect easily once u set up the data account and then set the correct network porfile in each application —
you have to set maste or slave sim to use and the data account correspponding to that sim
Pooja its camera quality is good but video quality is bad & never any option for video calling

hii friends i recently bought spice QT-66 the phone is good one the pre loaded nimbuzz is nt working as that version does nt support the handset just go to nimbuzz.com and select model spice and s-60 or s-90 from the drop down menu to the system and transfer the file to the mobile via bluetooth and install it in the mobile it nimbuzz will work fine. spice does not take care to test its application before launching the product.and neither gets an update for the software by rectifying the mistakes which the users could upgrade from the internet.its pc suit which comes with the handset also does nt work properly.so spice kindly see thngs go fine if nt the left over brand image will also nt be to survive in the competitive mobile handset market.

i bought QT66 a few days back n beleive me its an amazing mobile…
1 of the best of its kind.. the only problem is it cannot play online videos… bt thats ok u can download them n watch them later..
n yesss it connect to the pc suite, all u need to do is connect the cell with pc using usb, open handset manager go to settings, then connection n change the com port1 or 2 to com port 7. close (not minimize) the handset manager then reopen it n bingooo…

so wen i got dis new ph & few probs startd, i thot its my bad luck evrytime,bt nw feel relaxed seeing tat others 2 faces prob & m nt unlucky

I bought Spice QT66 3weeks back.its superb. i want the themes and games which will support for this mobile. and on main screen is showing all missed call, message, undo memo, Signal status and some direct access keys. but i don’t want all of them to display on main screen.can any one tell how to remove them??

Hey, this phone is good in such a low price. But i just don’t like the names of network provider in the middle of screen. My display picture bcomes bad bcos of this.
For eg…
If i have airtel sim and reliance sim, it shows the names airtel and reliance in the middle of the screen, This is the worst part, otherwise the phone is a good one.
qt66 as All spice set is waste of money.i lost my hardearned 5000bucks.its pile of problem.sometime keypad locked forever.no option to see blacklist.nonfunctional blacklist.u kip 1 number on blacklist fon still comes!again always error on download and shows ‘insufficient memory’ on opening page.worst set
