Spice S-1200: 12 MP Camera Phone with multi face Detection at Rs 14,500
Spice Mobiles Ltd creates a revolution in the mobile market with its release of 12 MP camera phone, priced at just Rs 14,500. Spice’s latest model S-1200 is the cheapest mobile with a powerful camera packed into it. S-1200 was unveiled by the stunning bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor, who has recently been named the brand ambassador of Spice.
At the launch of Spice S-1200, Mr. Kunal Ahooja,Director and CEO, Spice Mobiles Ltd stated,
“Photography is emerging as a fine art and expression of creativity. Our latest Picture Perfect series phone the 12MP S-1200 caters to this lifestyle need of good photography on the move.”
Cutting to the chase, Spice S-1200 has an outstanding 12-mega pixel camera, which features a CCD Sensor with 3X Optical zoom. It has all the sophisticated camera functions, which include smile shutter, multiple face detection, auto focus, anti-shake, xenon flash and 24 preset capture modes. Though, it has keypad similar to Nokia’s 3230, providing a problem in typing. Even its looks wont fancy you much.
Besides the mind blowing camera, it has a decent multimedia features and is capable of playing nearly all media formats. The basic features like Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio and Java games are always present. And not to forget, its FM Radio is accompanied with recording facility.The handset also comes with audio/video cable, thereby allowing you to connect to your television sets.
S-1200 has a 70 MB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32 GB .The Phone, has a powerful 1000 mAh battery, which provides talk time up to 3hrs and standby time up to 150 hrs.
My Verdict: Spice S-1200 allows you to add spice to your life with excellent image quality. If you hold features over looks, its simple design should not stop you from buying this feature packed phone priced at Rs. 14,500.
I would recommend you to grab this latest offering from Spice if you are a camera fanatic and want to own a cool phone at the same time.

It is nice becuase most of person search a good quality camera above 10 mp and spice lanchs 12mp it is good for photographic

I have this phone, I’ve been using it for quite a while now. It’s good belive me. I’ve used other spice phones such as the S 1000. This phone is a good bargain. It’s camera is a very big achievement. It’s not some crappy chinese system, infact it’s like they’ve added a call feature to a camera.
The flash is powerful, like a digital camera, and the pictures with the right settings are very satisfactory.
The music player is good. Only thing i’d like would be if spice used conventional stereo jacks, so i could my own sennheisers instead of those buds they provide.
Battery is decent. Screen is big. I’ve dropped the phone while playing basketball on the court, nothing happened.
But the OS is a tad wee bit complicated for first time users.

I recently buyed this phone after having thorough check about this cam phone….Its absolutely 12 mega pixel which is 4000*3000…Great pictures with wonderfull clarity..Fash is very powerfull…I dont know about how spice had launched other models but belive me my friends this phone is really rocking with excellent clarity and 3+ optical zoom..Am really satisfied with this cell…Please dont belive anybody saying neg about s1200…Its really worth to buy this cell at this cost..Once u buy u all will definately belive that am 200% true expeiernced with this product

All the above person are PRO’s person that’s their statements are 100 percent in favor of S-1200 model. I agreed with model of S-1200 but only 70 percent I am in favor of this model some weakness of mobile are as follows
1) if company provided the higher efficiency’s camera in mobile, the battery’s backup should be higher also while battery backup is poor.
2) if customer will pay Rs 14.5K . obviously his acceptation will be higher.e.g: MMS facility, touch screen facility etc and look wise front view of mobile (elevation) is not attractive. the screen should be large.
my friend R jhakmola, the current price is Rs 12,000 approx and I think that its really bargain. and we should try to check out fones by other companies rather than favouring all other MNCs. come on mann lets say cheers to such a good phone
Its a good phone but it should come with 3G & Wi-fi connectivity, no matter if price is increased upto Rs.17,000.
S-1200 very costly but the best mobile for other company
