Apart from malicious websites surfing on Internet, plugging USB or Pendrives to systems has become a dangerous because they can leave harmful viruses, trojans on your computer. These hidden programs are sometimes not even detected by your Antivirus program. So, to get rid out of this problem- Here’s a small application which can protect your data.
USB FireWall is an application that protects you from all malevolent programs which try to launch itself as soon as a peripheral USB is inserted. It will inform you if ever such a program is in one of your peripherals USB. You can remove the malevolent file and the file autorun.inf, which launches it with the “Delete” button.
As already told, it just stops the execution of automatic launching programs so there are no virus definitions or regular updates for this utility. USB FireWall not only cleans USb drives but also can clean your hard disk partition from auto started program.
USB FireWall is freeware and its functionality is limited, if ever the malevolent program is already present in your system, it tries to stop it but a patch or an Antivirus program is adapted much more to this kind of problem.
