0 Comments 17 March 2009

Windows 7 build 7057 is the recently leaked version of Windows 7 available on all popular bittorent sites. I have already mentioned that there are lots of customization options are featured in the recent build. Here is another cool customization feature which allows personalizing your logon screen yourself natively mean without any hack or 3rd party application.

To use this, you will need to check whether this function is enabled or not. Got to Registry editor and navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background and check DWORD value named OEMBackground. It is 1 for enabled and 0 for disabled.

The images shown are taken from  from %windir%\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds So, just place your images in the above directory and please note that the size should be 256KB at max.
