WordPress 2.9 will come with Integrated Image editor
Work is constantly going in Automattic labs. Regular improvements are seen in WordPress and a lot is expected from WordPress 2.9. News is that WP 2.9 will have it’s own integrated Image Editor.
We already heard about WordPress 2.9 Recycle bin feature and Picture editing is another addition. To be true, Photo edit function is on top among the wishlist of Bloggers who always need Screenshots for their articles. With an integrated Image editor, WordPress platform will become almost impossible to compete.

This would be definitely a blessing in disguise.
It is a pain in the a$$ to manipulate the images externally and then upload them in the WordPress media. Now, it is easier to do.
