Increasing number of Backup software can confuse a general user to choose a perfect solution for his need. To their rescue, I found a complete backup solution for Windows which has all the features you will ever need. Backup4All Professional has all the advanced features presented in simple manner to suit even a novice user.
Just when you open the program, it welcomes you with an option window whether to Backup or Restore. Backup jobs can be created right here by clicking on the button. You have four ways to backup: Local, Network drive, FTP or SFTP. Software doesn’t has its own cloud backup services yet. Local also includes backup to CD/DVD or Removable USB storage devices.
Step by Step Backup wizard makes it easy even for a first time user to understand and create a backup job easily.
After selecting the files/folder to be backed up along with the destination, you can choose whether to encrypt backups with Password. Just an added layer of security to your backups with AES encryption.
Unattended automatic backups can be taken using the inbuilt scheduler. Decide on how often should a backup job run or set specific time for its execution.
Advanced mode lets you configure various options like Filtering file types, specifying DVD Burner, Backup type, Compression mode and Email Notifications.
For Email notifications to be enabled, you need to configure SMTP server from Tools >> Options menu. Email notifications can be received whenever successful backup takes place or there are any errors while backing up along with log file. You can even use Gmail as SMTP server for email notifications.
Use Server name or IP as smtp.gmail.com and Port – 465. Enable SSL and use existing Gmail account username and password to start getting notified via email.
Restore process is even simpler than backup. Just specify the location and version of backup and restore process will start with one click. It is completely painless and very clear.
Last but not the least, Backup4All professional has compatibility for backup plugins. These plugins are predefined backup jobs for most used applications like Thunderbird or Outlook email client, Photoshop settings, Internet Download Manager, Browser bookmarks and configurations, Antivirus updates and settings and many more. You can check out complete list of plugins here.
