MIUI File Explorer App for Any ROM / Everyone Download

MIUI ROM is one of the most lucrative Android ROM; Not just one or two things but the reason behind its popularity are numerous. Few of the novelties are MIUI Music Player and File Explorer. Though, MIUI Media player is available for all but MIUI File Explorer isn’t yet.

MIUI File Explorer shows the Content of your phone arranged categorically: APK, Themes, Songs, Videos and so on in Grid Format. This certainly makes browsing Files easy. Along with it, you can have traditional file browsing too showing SD Card Directories serially.

If you don’t want to change ROM of your Android Phone or Tablet, but still want to have MIUI components on existing installation then you are fortunate. Because, Developer named apooonet on XDA Forums successfully ported MIUI File Explorer application for any Android (Froyo and Later) Device running any ROM.

Though it is similar to MIUI File Explorer, but has something more to offer than native MIUI explorer. The ported app lets you access Root files right away if offered Root Permissions.

While trying out, I found that it is very much similar to the original one; Mi File Explorer also has an attractive home screen which provides quick access to music, videos, pictures, and other file types. You can also see how much free space is on your SD card at a glance.

The SD card tab lets you browse through individual files and folders. The FTP tab is currently useless, but eventually you may be able to use it to access files over a WiFi network.

Compatible with all Device running Android 2.2 Froyo and later. Ironic thing is it is also compatible with MIUI and CyanogenMod 9 while developer is still working to fix issues with CM7.
