How to organize Android Apps into Folders
Though the default Android App drawer is good but finding an app becomes difficult when the list of installed apps is big. So, grouping android apps into folders will make it easier. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will bring this feature as native but for others, you can accomplish it by installing app.
To do this, we recommend SiMi Folder app. The first step is obviously to go to Android Market and download the application. Then you have to run it and add the folders you wish to use, its characteristics are defined as name, type, color and some details about the behavior you have the widget on our homescreen, by default, looks like the folders in iOS.
The next step is to add applications. This can be done in two ways:
- Select application and choose which folder to put it in
- Or Create a folder and mark apps to be included in that folder. Simply check the box for selection and we will be adding applications that wish to each folder.
Next step is to add this folder to homescreen. This can be done by adding a SiMi Widget (1 x 1) on Home screen.
In addition to applications, SimiFolder also allows us to create folders of contacts, web bookmarks, shortcuts, or a combination of all. It is a very complete application to organize android apps into folders that works quite well, however, in the Android Market there are many others like Folder Organizer is also quite good but which one to choose is just a matter of taste.
