i can skip password without deleting anything… As soon as chrome starts pres “ctrl+N” and a new chrome windows will pop up… Press cancel on the simple startup password and one of the windows will be closed… The one that remains open wil be able to surf the net… It is as secure as a safebox made of lego’s bricks…lol.

I’ve been using free encryption utility Rohos Mini Drive to password protect access to my Google Chrome browser. Works fine for me – http://www.rohos.com/2010/12/how-to-password-protect-google-chrome-data-with-rohos-encryption-software/

Just search your Chrome profile folder and navigate to
…\Default\Extensions\

Delete this folder and this addon is gone:
ojoalkffommhmdmbohjphohoejjmgepc

This extension only stops your grandma but no one else.
