Create Animated GIF Images From YouTube Videos Online

Did you like a scene from any video clip on YouTube? If you want to save it as GIF image so that you can use it as you avatar, advertising banner or signature in forums; then there is an easy method to perform this task online.

Creating GIF images from YouTube videos

The first method covers manual operations on desktop. While the second one is comparatively easier, most importantly no hard work or special skills are required.

Offline Method

Search for the video on YouTube, once it is downloaded, convert the scenes into GIF images using desktop video editing software such as ConvexSoft Video, Virtualdub or Photoshop. Well, in this method you need a lot of time investment depending on the type and quality of GIF images you are creating. Most important factor in this method is your system specifications which eases up or worsen things. You need to be good in the applications used to produce high quality images.

If you find the above procedure geeky then, here’s a simple solution to do it online. i.e the second method.

Online Method

  • Find the video from which you want the scenes to be converted and enter the URL of that video on Gickr.
  • Select the output size of image and number of Frames per second (FPS) and you are done with your job.
  • GIF image, made from your favorite video, will be available for download within few seconds.

Gickr is a free service that lets you create GIF animations online from Flickr photos. The good news is that they have extended support for YouTube videos. It is extremely handy with an easy to use interface.
