Just try to understand How PageRank are calculated and How many backlinks you exactly need to gain a Particular Google PR.
To get pagerank 5 you will need 555 backlinks from pagerank 3 or just 3 backlinks from pagerank 6. Jt means million. Thanks isnaini for the table above.

The number of backlinks is not the only thing…Your blog should be related and should have content…
@Anonymouse, Where in the article is said that Backlink is a sole factor? Here, we have shown just a relation between Backlink and Page rank.
Its calculation is still mysterious and difficult.

@Nitin, Dear there is no value of PR-1 if u want to get PR-2, you,ll need 101 backlinks from PR-1 or 18 backlinks from PR-2 or 3 backlinks from PR-3 or just 1 backlink from PR-4.
Is this guide a fairly approximate one? I ask because surely a not all links from a PR 5 page are the same. For example, if a PR5 page has 300 links on it, of which yours is just one, surely that wont carry the same weight as a link on a PR 5 page that has just two or three other links on it?
@Julian, Good point. Obviously, the concentration of PR juice flow will be less as the number of links increases.

Yes, they do also count. But if your blog shows “No PR info” then it doesn’t have much value. Please note that PR 0 and no Page rank information are two different things.

I like the information, but are you sure you would only need 3 links from a page rank 6 to get a page rank 5? Seems like you would need SOME pr1, pr2,pr 3, etc.
These are just the estimated calculations, atual algorithms depends on many factors like site content, etc, etc.
i have a question.
if i buy a link on a PR4 website and that link is posted in footer.
my link will appear on his website on all pages, but on CONTACT page his PR is 0.
how is better for me? to put my links only on page where PR is 4, or on the whole website?
lets say only HOME PAGE is PR4 and the rest: ABOUT, SERVICES, PRICES, CONTACT are PR0.
what should i do ? tell him to post my link only on HOME PAGE or in footer (on all pages)
There is no side-effect if you get backlink from PR-0. Let it appear on all pages.

how about if im having a website with PR 5 and i have a lot of internal links on that site. my PR will degrase because I transmit my PR to the other internal pages?

When you have internal linkings, it should not affect much. BTW, PR calculations and its flow algorithms are quite difficult to understand so I would recommend you to stop concerning about it too much

Page Rank is updated quarterly, wait for next update. Secondly, it also depends on the ratio of inlinks to outlinks.
If I’m aiming for a certain PR and I need to get 3 links from one PR rank higher, do all the links have to be DoFollow links? How many NoFollow links equate to one DoFollow link? Thanks!

How long between PR updates?
I dio not think number of backlinks from PR sites is the only criteria for getting google page rank because as per the table you have mentioned even if my blog has at least one PR4 backlink should get a PR of 2 but it is not so. Although my blog shows more than 300 backlinks from yahoo it shows only 2 from google.
Not sure how accurate this is but seems like a good rule of thumb. Of course the unwritten law is that if you are getting links from high authority related sites, you will a better outcome.

I think PR can be discounted altogether. If you’re caught spamming – they wills simply filter your PR – it will continue to show PR in the tool but not pass juice.

Hmm when google update page rank ? i have site from 2.2.2011 and now i have 1200 Backlinks from PR- 0 I used online tools for predict future PR and it show that i will geth PR 2,36
Nice post. I just think pr is really hard to fully understand and it is always changing. Now they say it does not matter.
The way I understood it was: backlinks from anyone no matter the PR is counted. However, if you link exchange with sites that are ranked low it works against your site. So, be carefull with who you exchange links with (this mean you put their link on your site and they put your link on their site) make sure you only put links on your site that have the same type of content and they are ranked higher. Oh- and have good content and don’t take content from other sites, Google knows you did it!
