4 3055 555 101 18 3 1 1 1 1 1
5 16803 3055 555 101 18 3 1 1 1 1
6 92414 16803 3055 555 101 18 3 1 1 1

10 84 jt. 15 jt. 2.8 jt. 0.5 jt. 92414 16803 3055 555 100 18

Just try to understand How PageRank are calculated and How many backlinks you exactly need to gain a Particular Google PR.

To get pagerank 5 you will need 555 backlinks from pagerank 3 or just 3 backlinks from pagerank 6. Jt means million. Thanks isnaini for the table above.

Google hate those who sell or buy the backlinks so don’t buy or sell backlinks. To get Genuine Backlinks, you can refer Ways of gettings backlinks for free.

This table is just an estimation and there are many other factors governing Google Page Rank Update.

The number of backlinks is not the only thing…Your blog should be related and should have content…

    • Rohit Langde says:

@Anonymouse, Where in the article is said that Backlink is a sole factor? Here, we have shown just a relation between Backlink and Page rank.
Its calculation is still mysterious and difficult.

  2. Nitin says:

Currently my Page Rank is 0 How much Backlink should I get for PR-1

  3. Julian says:

Is this guide a fairly approximate one? I ask because surely a not all links from a PR 5 page are the same. For example, if a PR5 page has 300 links on it, of which yours is just one, surely that wont carry the same weight as a link on a PR 5 page that has just two or three other links on it?

    • Rohit Langde says:

@Julian, Good point. Obviously, the concentration of PR juice flow will be less as the number of links increases.

  7. Info Gaptek says:

My PR has dropped in previous update.

Hope I could raise it in the next update!

  8. Sushant says:

what about the backlinks from page rank 0

    • Rohit Langde says:

Yes, they do also count. But if your blog shows “No PR info” then it doesn’t have much value. Please note that PR 0 and no Page rank information are two different things.

    Great explanation on page rank.

  15. I like the information, but are you sure you would only need 3 links from a page rank 6 to get a page rank 5? Seems like you would need SOME pr1, pr2,pr 3, etc.

  16. web design says:

    i have a question.

if i buy a link on a PR4 website and that link is posted in footer.
my link will appear on his website on all pages, but on CONTACT page his PR is 0.
how is better for me? to put my links only on page where PR is 4, or on the whole website?
lets say only HOME PAGE is PR4 and the rest: ABOUT, SERVICES, PRICES, CONTACT are PR0.
what should i do ? tell him to post my link only on HOME PAGE or in footer (on all pages)

  17. web design says:

    i understand. thanks
how about if im having a website with PR 5 and i have a lot of internal links on that site. my PR will degrase because I transmit my PR to the other internal pages?

    • Rohit Langde says:

When you have internal linkings, it should not affect much. BTW, PR calculations and its flow algorithms are quite difficult to understand so I would recommend you to stop concerning about it too much 🙂

  29. jono says:

    Posted comments of 30 PR-7 blogs, we’ll see how i do ^^
    How long between PR updates?

  30. Kavita says:

I dio not think number of backlinks from PR sites is the only criteria for getting google page rank because as per the table you have mentioned even if my blog has at least one PR4 backlink should get a PR of 2 but it is not so. Although my blog shows more than 300 backlinks from yahoo it shows only 2 from google.

  31. Jim says:

Not sure how accurate this is but seems like a good rule of thumb. Of course the unwritten law is that if you are getting links from high authority related sites, you will a better outcome.

  42. Jeniffer says:

    It’s posibel to have PR 0,045 ? or it’s a scam?

  43. I think PR can be discounted altogether. If you’re caught spamming – they wills simply filter your PR – it will continue to show PR in the tool but not pass juice.

    Very distburbing IMO.

  44. Jeniffer says:

Hmm when google update page rank ? i have site from 2.2.2011 and now i have 1200 Backlinks from PR- 0 I used online tools for predict future PR and it show that i will geth PR 2,36

  45. Nice post. I just think pr is really hard to fully understand and it is always changing. Now they say it does not matter.

  46. Virginia says:

The way I understood it was: backlinks from anyone no matter the PR is counted. However, if you link exchange with sites that are ranked low it works against your site. So, be carefull with who you exchange links with (this mean you put their link on your site and they put your link on their site) make sure you only put links on your site that have the same type of content and they are ranked higher. Oh- and have good content and don’t take content from other sites, Google knows you did it!

  47. abeel says:

this is not true I have 3 back-linck 5 and one 6 but still my pagrank is one!!

  48. You really make it appear really easy together with your presentation however I find this topic to be actually one thing that I think I might never understand. It sort of feels too complex and very large for me. I’m having a look forward for your subsequent put up, I will try to get the grasp of it!

  49. GarageCat says:

I’m a page rank 2 retail sales site. Will links from unrelated or out of my niche site increase my rating?

  50. Johana says:

when i post a comment in a blog how i can know the page rank of page ?

  51. Rich Jones says:

Love the table – thanks very much!

  52. PageRank is probably one of the most important algorithms ever developed for the Web.
PageRank is not simply based upon the total number of inbound links.
The basic approach of PageRank is that a document is in fact considered the more important the more other documents link to it,
but those inbound links do not count equally.
good points here about Trust now being a major factor in search engine results,
that goes with what Rand and others have been saying too.
this also settles for me the value of a natural approach to gaining backlinks and not getting a huge bunch of them, or a large # of high pr backlinks in a short period of time – it rather undermines the Trust factor.
I do wonder what you think of bing and how Trust does/will play a role in their results.
it seems to me from a rather preliminary and cursory look at some results and comparing those to over at google and yahoo,
that bing ofter relies more on the keyword/s being the actual url,
which seems to me a rather poor way to rank sites/pages.
    Thanks for sharing…..
