Universal theme Patcher to patch any version of Windows

windows-uxtheme-patcherUniversal Theme patch is an application that will allow us to “fix” any version of Windows (7, Vista, XP, 2003, etc.) to apply themes. Thus in one application will have everything we need to start using themes in Windows, regardless of whether we should modify only one file (as in XP) or three (as in Vista).

Microsoft has build in a protection into the Windows operating system that prevent users from installing third party themes.

Universal Theme Patcher can patch system files of 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and even those of Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. The program is fully portable and can be executed right after downloading and unpacking it. Users of 32-bit editions of Windows need to execute UniversalThemePatcher-x86.exe while those that run 64-bit editions need to run UniversalThemePatcher-x64.exe instead.

Universal Theme patch is a freeware utility, and only be taken into account if the operating system we have is 32 or 64 bits. In the first case we have to run x86-UniversalThemePatcher while in the second we need to run x64-UniversalThemePatcher, files included in the ZIP download.
