As a part time Blogger, I can understand the value of time, Its an important factor when it comes to writing. Its not always possible to carry out things in small period of time but thanks to the tools available on Internet, you can save some of your time working out those repeated and essential things.
Especially for Blogger or Blogspot users, here are some tools listed including iGoogle gadgets and Firefox addons which can prove to be useful in saving time for Bloggers.
iGoogle Gadgets
Blogger Dashboard : Gives you easy access to the Blogger control panel (by inserting the Blog-ID of your blog that you can extract the links from your panel). So, you can create and edit your post, configure or edit your blog directly from your iGoogle template.
Blogger Post : Allows you to easily create posts of your blogs, emulating the “quickpress” feature of WordPress version 2.7.
Photobucket plugin : The main functions of Photobucket in a single gadget: Host pictures from your PC, browse your albums and get the URLs of your images, all without accessing your account from Photobucket.com
Other Gadgets include Google Reader which views your feed/comment items and read any RSS or Atom feed. And Blogger Buzz which keeps you updated about any new feature/changes in Blogger platform.
If you do not use iGoogle then, I would recommend you to make it as your homepage and customize it in your own way.
Firefox Addons
Zemanta : As you type in blog editor, In real-time-. it suggests tags, links, photos, and related articles. It definitely saves time and aspirin. You can insert an image with a single click and without having to worry about copyright.
ScribeFire : ScribeFire is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog.
Photobucket uploader : This simple add-on allows you to right-click on an image that appears on any web page and upload it directly to your Photobucket account. It also has many features that make interacting with your Photobucket account a lot quicker and easier.
Blogger Toolbar : Toolbar for Blogger, developed by Amanda Fazani of BloggerBuster. It includes a search box, links for direct access to your panel, and help topics “Blog This!” to create entries quickly.

I also suggest Windows live writer for publishing to your blog. It can be any blog and it has loads of customisable features. You can download it free from live.com.
Windows Live Writer is good tool for editing and posting. You may need some image optimization tool like RIOT.
